Tanya McConvell has fought alongside a lot of people – workers, refugees, First Nations people, anti-war activists, everyone.
Over the years, Tanya recorded many of the fighters and organisers at the centre of these struggles – as well as giving some of the sharpest political speeches you’ll hear.
-
The battles of the militant Builders Labourers’ Federation in the mid 1980s
-
The historic protests against Australia’s Bicentennial celebrations in 1988
-
The mass protests against the AIDEX arms fair in 1991, and the US-Australian invasions of Iraq in 1991 and 2003
-
The heroic struggles of refugees in Australia’s detention centres in the early 2000s
You’ll find voices from all these struggles, and many more, on Radio Tanya – along with Tanya’s raps, rabble-rousing, and radio shows (especially from her time at Canberra’s community radio station 2XX).
